"I am 15 and a mother! My children are rabbits, guinea pigs, kittens and some of the world’s most ferocious dogs. Looking after them is a part of my daily routine, something that is not affected by my studies as a Class 8th student. Not only do I have a ‘mini zoo’ at home, but I also know every stray in my colony. This is my passion.
My mother has always been an animal lover. It’s only natural, then, that I inherited this love from her. When I was born, we already had dogs, parrots and other birds and animals at home. This environment helped me empathise with animals rather than be scared of them.
I already have four dogs at home. When my mom says we can’t have more due to space restriction, I tell her not to worry. Maybe one day, I’ll have a house full of dogs with the rarest breeds from all over the world. I want to create a hub where I can shelter every stray dog. Once I was pampering a cow on the street and I was stopped because of hygiene issues. I pointed out that if we can’t touch them, we can’t connect with them or take care of them. My attitude surprises people, but I don’t do it for shock value. My love for animals is a part of me.
As a child, I played with animals instead of dolls and experienced something new about the language of love every day. Many wonder how at the age of 15, I am definite about my dreams and aspirations. My next aim is to include a cow and a calf to my family. I want to tell the world that it is love through which we can win anyone."
