"Have you ever seen a flower blossom after its season has passed? Well, I have witnessed one - my mother. She was a gold medalist but had to quit studies after Masters. She wanted to teach and get a B.Ed degree. It wasn’t possible for a mother of two and caregiver of a big family to pursue her dreams. Her housework would start at 5 am and wouldn’t wrap up before midnight.
She did not lose hope. She believes that a person has just one life. One life to be what you want to be, do what you want to do and be with whom you want to be with. One life to respect, to love, to care, to think of others and to think of yourself. And the same life to balance all these things.
Fifteen years after dropping out of college, she resumed studies at the age of 38. She pursued a B.Ed, an M.Ed and eventually became a professor in a college. She also chased her dream of having the honourable prefix of ’Dr.’ in her name. She went after her dreams with all her passion and earned her PhD at the age of 53.
You may think how boring a life - all spent on books. But that's not the case with this lady. She enjoyed studying and also signed up for creative activities. She associated herself with a leading social group in town and involved herself in various social causes and entertainment programs.
Today, she works as an executive officer in an organisation engaged in social activities. In this one life, she has managed to balance all fronts of her her life perfectly."
